This section includes research completed between 2008 and 2015 under the auspices of the Population and Environment on the U.S. Great Plains project, led by Myron P. Gutmann of the University of Colorado. Together with collaborators at the University of Michigan, Colorado State University, and the University of Saskatchewan, we applied a variety of innovative methods to the history of agriculture, including biogeochemical modeling and agent-based modeling.
